Welcome, my name is Gary, and I want to thank you for taking the time to allow me to share my life’s passion.

Some of my fondest childhood memories begin at the age of six, when my family first introduced me to fishing. Every summer was spent at the lake, and I could hardly wait for daylight. More often than not, I was the first one awake, standing on the shoreline with my tackle box and faithful Zebco fishing rod in hand. Whether I carried a box of worms or a piece of Velveeta cheese for bait, I felt certain that the next cast might bring in the biggest fish of my life.

A lot has changed over the years, but my passion for this sport has never waned, even with all of the hardships and learning curves that we all go through.​

Growing up near Pasadena, fishing became far more than a pastime—it became a way of life. Over the years, I spent countless days fishing and guiding throughout the beautiful Eastern Sierras. I was privileged to guide anglers on the legendary waters of Hot Creek, one of the most renowned trout streams in the West.​

My passion for sport also led me to guide in Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. Along the way, I earned certification as a  Casting Instructor with the Federation of Fly Fishers, giving me the opportunity to teach and mentor others while pursuing a lifelong passion for fly fishing.

It is these life experiences that have led me to create this site. I want to continue helping others enjoy the sport that has given me so much throughout my life. Whether you're a beginner picking up a rod for the first time or a seasoned angler looking to refine your skills, I hope we can share knowledge, stories, and experiences together—and perhaps enjoy some of the greatest moments you'll ever have on the water.

Currently, if you can’t find me on the water, you will find me on the mountain, where I work as a Ski Patroller on the front range or working as a mentor for Project Healing waters.
